The Discovery Cruise introduces the unique sights and heritage of the 1000 Islands region with a main focus on the historic waterfront of Kingston. The cruise passes close to National Historic Sites such as Fort Henry, and includes a lively narration of Kingston’s history and natural setting.

Discover History and Heritage

The focus of this cruise is on the history and waterfront of the city of Kingston, and its place at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands region. Kingston is a UNESCO World Heritage Destination for its remarkable and well-preserved 19th-century defense fortifications.

The Discovery Cruise highlights Kingston’s harbour passing Fort Henry, shipwrecks, classical architecture, Canada’s Royal Military College and the imposing Kingston Penitentiary.
